| The RDS navCenter has a 28 year history and is just now beginning to reach its full expression. There are two arenas of RDS work. The first is being set up at temporary locations in support of everyday navCenter activities. The second are deployments to crises areas to facilitate dealing with the crises, and more importantly, help to redesign what failed in a way that prevents the same thing happening again. Doing this does not mean merely building the same thing back only stronger and safer. It means eliminating the systemic flaws which created the vulnerability in the first place. |
